What Gildyard reads, how it connects to Azure, who sees what, and how to take it all back. The short answers are on the front page; these are the long ones.

Pages

  • Connecting Azure: the one button, the portal template and the two commands, and how to remove the access.
  • What Gildyard reads: exactly what the two roles let it see, what it never reads, and how it decides what a piece looks like.
  • People, roles and TV links: owners, admins, members and viewers; invites; a screen in the office.

In short

Gildyard draws a cloud subscription as a yard. It signs in to your directory with its own identity, reads your subscriptions with two of Azure's built-in read-only roles, and keeps only the latest picture, the recent events and a small working state. It never changes your resources, never reads the data inside a resource, and never keeps a copy of your tags.
